Floristry

What they do:

Florists create and arrange flowers and plants, designing decorative compositions for a wide range of occasions. Their work includes the creation of bouquets, wreaths, arrangements, and floral decorations, based on specific requirements or creative concepts.

A variety of materials such as ribbons, candles, and natural elements are used to produce visually appealing designs. In addition, containers are planted and interior decorations are created to enhance both living and working environments. A strong sense of colour, form, and composition is essential in this field.

The profession is not limited to flower shops. Work also takes place on-site, including the decoration of churches, hotels, event venues, and spaces for celebrations such as weddings. The design of shop windows and retail areas is also part of the role.

Customer service is a key aspect of the profession. This includes advising on plant care and maintenance, handling sales, managing orders, and organising delivery services.
