Electrical installations

What they do:

Electrical installation technicians design, install, test, and maintain electrical systems in both residential and industrial environments. Their work covers the generation, transformation, distribution, and management of electrical energy.

They install systems such as earthing and lightning protection, antenna and satellite systems, as well as signalling, alarm, and video surveillance systems. In addition, they work with control and automation systems, including BUS networks and other energy management technologies.

Their tasks also include the installation of inverters, energy storage systems, DC devices, and equipment used for monitoring and optimising energy consumption, along with industrial electrical instrumentation.

Work processes are planned, coordinated, and documented, including the calculation of time, materials, and costs. The role involves working independently or as part of a team, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

Key skills:

  • Design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of automation, control, and energy management systems
  • Programming and configuration of electronic and security devices
