What they do:

Stove fitters specialise in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of stoves, fireplaces, and warm-air heating systems. Their work also includes built-in hearths and ovens for residential or commercial use.

The profession combines technical expertise with craftsmanship. Knowledge of combustion processes and heat transfer is applied to ensure both efficiency and safety, while careful attention is given to the design and visual appearance of each installation.

Work begins with analysing client requirements and performing thermal calculations, followed by the development of technical designs. Construction is carried out using materials such as refractory clay, tiles, stone, and lime.

Tasks are often performed independently and directly on-site, requiring precision, responsibility, and strong organisational skills.
