Floor laying

What this profession involves

Floor layers are skilled professionals in interior construction, specialising in the installation of different types of flooring. Their work contributes to the functionality, comfort, and overall appearance of interior spaces.

They work with a wide range of materials, including PVC, linoleum, carpet, wood, and parquet, selecting the most suitable solutions based on the technical and aesthetic requirements of each project. Materials, colours, and surface finishes play a key role in shaping the character of residential, commercial, and public environments.

Before installation, the subfloor is carefully prepared and checked for moisture. Where necessary, sound and thermal insulation systems are applied. The installation phase is followed by finishing processes such as sanding, sealing, and surface treatment, particularly for wood and parquet floors.

The work is carried out independently or as part of a team, especially in larger projects such as sports facilities, event venues, or public buildings. The profession requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different working environments.
