What they do:

Landscape gardeners design, build, and maintain outdoor spaces of all kinds, from private gardens to public parks, contributing to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Their work includes planning and consulting, as well as the practical implementation of landscape projects. They create gardens, green areas, parks, cemeteries, sports fields, and playgrounds, and construct features such as water elements, pathways, terraces, and stairways.

They are also involved in roof and façade greening, plant production, and nursery work, and provide advice on plant care and pest management.

The profession is mainly carried out outdoors, with some activities taking place in greenhouses or nurseries. Landscape gardeners measure and prepare sites, operate machinery and tools, and perform a wide range of tasks, from construction and planting to maintenance and pruning.
